That's exactly how an officer of the law is supposed to act.
New Mexico's Officer Chris Webb was at a career day in a middle school and asked the kids who would wash his car. One boy said no, and the officer claims he was joking when he pulled out his Taser and pointed it at the child. Then it fired and zapped him into unconsciousness. Officer Webb said he thought the Taser wasn't loaded and it was an accident.
What would happen if that was a gun? Officer Webb, would you have also pointed it at an innocent child, not knowing if it was loaded or not? You could have killed a boy for no reason with your Taser. What if he had a heart problem and couldn't take a shock like that? It's not unheard of for a 10 year old to have a heart attack, especially when there's all that electricity running through his body.
I'm disgusted every time I hear about a cop acting out of line. Something better happen here, more than just the three day suspension Officer Webb got. He needs to lose his badge. He could have taken that child's life because of his stupidity! Is that someone that is serving and protecting the public?
Not at all.
